Merry Christmas! I hope everyone had a great day!
Well I must say it has been pretty nice staying home and not traveling anywhere, at least for right now. Dave has been off work this week and his has been great to have him home we have just been hanging out, shopping, eating, playing with Blake and seeing friends. Here are a few of my big boy. Although I am very sad I won't be home for Christmas I guess it will be second best to go home after....
These are just a few of Blakes new tricks! He loves to touch his toes and suck on his hands he is grabbing toys and can hold his head up really good now. He is starting to push up on his elbows when he is on his tummy and smiles and coos ALL the time! My favorite time of day is when he wakes up in the morning because he is so happy and doesn't stop smiling! Oh and he has started watching baby einstein.
Today I was in the Nordstom lounge feeding Blake and there were two women in there with brand new babies they were only 3 weeks old. I couldn't believe my eyes they were soooo small. I couldn't help thinking about Blake and thinking back just a few months ago when he came into my life. It was truely the most amazing and life changing thing that has ever happend to me. When my doctor told me to get to the hospital I can remeber thinking I get to see my son, I can't wait! I have never felt such excitement and joy. I had no fear and no anxiety, which I always thought I would. I felt peace. That first time I held him in my arms was a surreal moment and one I never want to forget. I am so thankful to my Heavenly Father for sending me Blake. Throughout my journey thus far I feel happier and worth more then I have ever felt in my life. Being a mother is an unexplainable feeling. There is nothing better then when I walk in the room talking and I look over at my little boy and he is looking for me and the best part is when I stop and he finally spots me and smiles it seriously makes my heart melt. I know everyone who is a mom knows this feeling and I am so excited for those of you who aren't moms to someday soon share these same feelings! I can not believe how fast time is going and how I wish more then anything I could just stop time and enjoy each moment longer. I love you Blake so much and am so grateful for you in my life.
I have always LOVED snowmen so I decided to do a snowman theme on our Christmas tree.
On Friday night we stayed home and decorated our Christmas tree it was a ton of fun I love Christmas and I can't believe there are only 21 more days! I love seeing all the lights and the smell of Christmas trees. Blake loves to lay by the tree and look at the lights!
The Festival of Trees was beautiful. This is Blakes face the whole time, he was in a trance.......
On Saturday night we went with the Warners to the Festival of Trees and went and ate at Ruby River. It was so fun! The trees were beautiful and the food we ate was delicious! Blake and Chase were both loving it until it got around bedtime and then it was time to go.
