She's getting Brave...

which usually means walking is coming soon! It's so cute because I can tell she wants to so bad, but she is still just a little nervous about it. She has taken a couple of steps once, but hasn't done it since. I am trying to hold her off until we are with Dave so he doesn't miss it. We will see!

The Sonnenbergs

We had such a fun day yesterday! The kids slept in, the weather was great and we just hung out. We had the Sonnenbergs over to play and since it was Baylee's real Birthday I had to do something! So after swimming we grabbed some pizza from Brick Oven, which I'm obsessed with lately and got some cupcakes from Harmons. It was perfect. Baylee actually ate and dug into her cupcake for the first time, it was so cute. My kids loved having Kanyon and Scarlett over they are so fun and they just play for hours, Meghan and I just chat and barely even see the kids! We had a great day!! We will definitely miss them this Summer and miss seeing baby Cohen!

Baylee turns 1

I can not believe my sweet baby girl has turned 1.

Some of my favorite things about Baylee are:

From the second I saw her I was in love.
She has such a strong spirit knows what she wants.
She LOVES her brother and always wants him.
She didn't sleep through the night until she was almost 8 months old, which I am grateful for because it was OUR time together.
She is a cuddler.
She is ALWAYS happy.
She can make anyone smile.
She loves music and loves when I sing to her.
She always says "Thank You" starting at 11 months. Very polite : )
She is gentle and sweet.
She loves to play Peek-a-boo.
Her eyes light up when she sees me.
She is always pointing her toes and shaking her hands.
She knows how to tell me "all done" in sign language.
She gets so excited when daddy walks in the door.
She is loving.
She is beautiful.
She is smart.
I know she is going to do amazing things.
There is something so special about her I can't explain, but I love her more then words can tell.

My Little Pirate!

On Saturday Blake went to his friend Logan's Birthday Party, it was a Pirate theme, which Blake was SO excited about, anyway EVERYDAY since he talks about it and wants to wear his pirate hat, pirate necklace, pirate patch, pirate tattoos and carries around this bag with the gold chocolates inside and says, "ARRR..." He is literally obsessed. It is so funny! I love him so much he seriously makes me laugh everyday all day long!

Lately...

we haven't been up to anything super exciting, but sometimes it's fun just to document the simple every day things. We have been reading a lot both Blake and Baylee LOVE to read, we discovered iChat and love it! Baylee is starting to really want to walk she is standing by herself trying to walk and has discovered how to climb the stairs, but not sure how to get down.
I can't wait for the Summer to get here.
I am craving the Sun!!!!

Easter Sunday

We had such a relaxing day yesterday. We woke up and had breakfast and then as we were getting ready for church the Easter Bunny came. Dave yelled in from the hall to Blake and told him to come out he immediately saw the jelly bean trail and as he started picking them up he didn't know where to put them so he started to put them in his pocket and every time he'd lean over to pick the next jelly bean up the rest would all fall out so he'd have to pick them all up again and again he did this a few times. It was hilarious! When he got to his Easter Basket he started jumping up and down saying, "Woo Hoo" He gets very excited... I love it about him.
Baylee was following the trail and trying to eat the Jelly Beans, but instead kept them in her hands and in result had bright green hands for church! She loved her soft Thumper she immediatley gave it a kiss, it was so sweet!
What a great day! I think Easter is maybe my favorite holiday! I love what it represents, I love the colors, I love the food, I love the weather and I love getting a new Easter dress and I love seeing my kids dressed in their best!

Baylee's 1 Year Pre-Birthday

We decided to celebrate Baylee's 1 year Birthday two weeks early because Dave will be gone on her actual birthday and we also had family in town. So we threw a little birthday bash yesterday and we had a great time. Baylee loved the attention, but wanted nothing to do with her cake. She was very clean and tidy about it... We absolutely love are little lady!

The Farm... and Cows

Every Spring Dave's family brings the cows off the mountain and they give the calfs shots and they do some other things to them, but every year we look forward to it. Blake had a hay day. He was loving every minute out there except for when Dave put him on the cow and walked away, but he still loved it. There is something great about being out in the country and just getting down in the dirt and just having fun. At the end of the day Dave decided to tag a 5 dollar bill on one of the calves and watch all the kids chase after it to see who could grab the 5 dollar bill... So fun!

Swimming Lessons

I started the kids back up in swimming lessons this past week, Blake continues to LOVE it and he is now swimming all by himself and Baylee is a little unsure, but she does float and is as calm as can be. We will see how she does in the weeks to come! I just love knowing that my kids are aware and learning to be safe around water! It is one of my biggest fears to have one of my kids or anyone I love be injured in water.

Baking Cookies

Park City

This past Saturday I met up with some girlfriends from college and we headed up to Park City for a fun night of eating, not sleeping, talking and a lot of laughing! We had such a great time! It is just always too short. Can't wait until next year!

Big Brother Blake

Blake is such a GREAT Big Brother! He is always looking out for Baylee. It seriously makes me want to cry thinking about how sweet he is with her. There isn't a second that goes by without him noticing her. He is so aware of what she wants or needs. Every time they part he has to give her a hug and a kiss, whether it is nap time or him just going in the basement to play. He has such a big heart! At times it is so hard that they are so close in age, but there is no doubt in my mind that it was meant to be this way, they are best friends who couldn't be apart any longer.

Baylee 11 months

Baylee turned 11 months 2 weeks ago, but things have been a bit crazy around our house. At 11 months Baylee has started saying a few new things like, "cookie," "I do," "Hi," "Bye," and is signing, "all done", "more", and "milk" so she definitely lets us know what she wants! She LOVES her brother and follows him everywhere he goes, she loves to dance every time she hears music she even tries to sing along, I have to get in on video. She is such a happy little girl who brings so much to our family. We all just adore her!
